This is a really nice little unit. Bought it for the company I work in, as an info-screen computer, which could be tugged away. Installed Windows 7 on this and works fine as long you’re not running cp
u and/or graphics heavy applications on it.
One note is that it gets quite warm, but considering that it’s a passive cooled machine, I guess it expectable. I would suggest only tugging it away in areas with good air flow.
Great service from CarPC regarding dialog and delivery time was very quick.

Installed the QBOX in a Beneteau 510 Oceanis. Great piece of machine, intalls like a dream! I put a 500 GB harddrive and installed XP through an external USB DVD drive whith no problem. The DVI-I moni
torcable is extended to 12 meters where I had to go down a little bit om the screen resolution, but still a great picture.There are much better solutions then to extend, got a bit lazy there! It runs as a navigation and multimedia entertainment system. Attached to it is also a Skymate satellite communicator, GPS and an IceNet system. Working on to integrate Raymarine instruments to the system. Suddenly my sailboat turned into a mobile fully equipped office at an amazing low cost. Now I´m looking on the frameless monitors to expand the system. A bit sorry about that there are no waterprotected marine screens available om your homepage.

Perfect pc for embedded applications.
But be carefull where you place it, it is passively cooled, so the outside of the box becomes quite warm. You can't burn yourself, but i estimate about 40 degC
